We heavily rely on the gifts of our volunteers, professionals who want to donate their talents for the sake of the children and families we will serve.
Alfreda Brewster, Artist & Quilter
Alfreda makes personalized receiving blankets for the Foundation's outreach program, "Celebrating Their Lives." We deliver the blankets to neonatal intensive care units in Cleveland and surrounding suburbs to parents of infants with short life expectancies. The blankets are part of a memorial pouch that parents use to celebrate their children’s lives. Alfreda also creates personal memorial quilts and blankets via her website.
Louis Chapman, Marketing
Louis earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Cleveland State University. He is helping the foundation with Social Media Marketing. He remotely works for TGF from Savannah, Georgia.
Adiam Ghirmai, Lead Accountant
Adiam has over 25 years of accounting and finance experience and is currently Director of Finance at Dell. She has over five years of experience in internal and external auditing with nonprofits. She received both her undergraduate degree and M.B.A. from the University of North Texas. She is TGF’s lead accountant.
Mike Hammer, Writer
Mike lives in Cleveland, Ohio, and studied Communications and Creative Writing at Bowling Green State University. He is a freelance writer and marketing specialist, and has volunteered at a non-profit art center and an adult literacy group. He is using his skills for grant writing with TGF.
Doug Hitchcock, Marketing
Doug has spent much of his career high technology businesses as a marketing and business development executive. He enjoys leveraging his corporate skills into volunteer activities. He has served on the board of the Rochester Area Interfaith Hospitality Network, part of a national organization that serves homeless families while they search for sustainable housing and jobs.
Joseph R. Jenkins, Attorney
Joseph was born, raised, and lives in Cleveland Heights, OH. He earned his J.D. and his M.P.A. from The Ohio State University. He currently works in government relations in Northeast Ohio. Joseph reviews all of TGF’s legal documents.
Monika Monika, Human Resources
Monika has a B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering and is our virtual HR administrator. TGF is her first volunteer job, where she hopes to hone her human resource skills.
Papia Roy, Accountant
Papia is from Thousand Oaks, California and is currently preparing for her CPA exam. She has a Masters in Commerce, specializing in International Business Operations. She’s a committed volunteer, also working as a volunteer tax preparer. Her role as TGF’s virtual volunteer accountant is her first experience in virtual accounting.
Samantha Waight, Writer
Samantha is a volunteer grant writer also helping us find funding for the organization. She has a B.A. in English Literature and Journalism. She is excited to be a part of the growth and development of the foundation and the families it is driven to serve in the Cleveland community. Samantha chose to join TGF as her first role for grant writing so she can give back to others and see the positive impact on a local level.
Tiona Gosha, President
R.N., B.S.N., M.A.C.P.C., C.H.P.P.N.
Tiona manages the foundation's affairs. She is a registered nurse, certified in pediatric palliative and hospice care. She has over 32 years of nursing experience, and has spent the last 16 years caring for chronic/terminally ill children and their families. Tiona is also a clinical pastoral counselor.
Shirley Greaux, Vice President
B.A., M.A.C.P.C., M.Div.
Shirley will oversee all ministries and provide spiritual care for the children and their families. She has worked with Tiona the past 7 years to provide financial support, planning and prayer.
Tierney A. Payne, Secretary
B.A., M.A.C.P.C., M.Div, L.P.C.C.
Tierney is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the State of Ohio, and is certified in Child Centered Play Therapy through NIRE. She has experience in clinical counseling, business organization and management.
